2011 Audi R8 Spyder

R8 is a great success for Audi. The 2011 Audi Spyder has allowed Audi to help raise the company profile. Furthermore, allowed it to enter the rarefied air of supercar segment. The newest version of V10 guise, coupe's Porsche-like high speed of 194 mph, where rapierlike hhandling goes without unmentioned, offers sporting credentials to Audi that it had not previously enjoyed. The bottom line is, it will not be 10 pistons, 525 high horsepower or for the matter even 4 seconds to take acceleration of 60 mph that would sell new convertible Audi supercar version.

Simply numbers, performance data or technical specification may seem impressive, but are not successful in capturing what exactly is needed for Spyder for reaching at the top. What's missing is the style. Pak your R8 at any sports car parking area and Audi is certain to attract just like the Ferrari 458 Italia or Lamborghini Gallardo.
The inside of Spyder is similar to coupe, which means long legged persons are going to have hard time accommodating. However, the seats are quite comfortable and adjustable, offering sufficient side bolstering. Soft-top, fortified in magnesium, remains stable and quiet even when the vehicle is speedy. At 80 mph, it is easy conversation is possible.
Most of Audi R8 Spyder interior features are quite similar to that of coupe. It means, Spyder too features 465 watts of Bang & Olufsen goodness with mated to about 12 speakers. It is not up to sonorific splendor that B&O system of A8 is. However, it proves sufficient enough for the R8's small cabin. The LCD screen of the navigation system is quite small, which further makes it difficult for viewing junctions and turnings. It features only 3.5 cubic feet cargo at the up front, which is as big as to accommodate two laptop bags only. Trip for two could be best reserved for a tropical climate.
Again like Audis, Spyder too surpasses the competition while speaking of finish and comfort inside the cabin. The seat is leather covered and comes in good quality too. Instrument gauge design seems to be pleasing and switchgear can be operated at ease. Audi Spyder has tightest grip between stowable roof and windshield frame, if compared to any recent convertible. For the Spyder's looks, you might consider going back to launch of Lamborghini Countach for getting a more of dramatic and positive response to the car. Spyder captures the adoration, the reason for which coupe version has remained famous. The sloping roof has been replaced in this new version with tonneau cover and soft-top. However, the side blades dominating coupe's side view are not present in this model and in its replacement is the great swallowing air in takers. However conventional they may look, they definitely are attractive too. Tonneau cover is an addition that gives aggressive appearance and features several vents on twin humps.
Anyone who is looking at R8 coupe ownership, but is enamored of the al fresco driving, is certainly going to be a fan. Nevertheless, anyone should be considering a Lamborghini, Porsche or Ferrari. Audi offers better performance and is excessively less expensive as compared to any of the above-mentioned Italian alternatives.

Audi RS5

Audi RS cars are some of the most powerful vehicles ever offered by Audi. The Audi RS5 5.0 TFSI quattro, for instance, is more powerful than the Audi S8 5.2 FSI quattro. Available for limited time scales, on a restricted model range, these "RS" models are wholly designed, developed and produced in-house by Audi AG's high performance private subsidiary company, quattro GmbH, at its Neckarsulm factory, and usually have a wider bodyshell (sometimes informally referred to as 'widebody') to allow for a wider front- and rear-axle track.

All "RS" cars pioneer some of Audi's latest and most advanced technology and engineering prowess, therefore, "RS" cars could be described as "halo vehicles".

Audi A7

The Audi A7 is the new model of Audi. This sedan shares the platform with the Audi A8, but looks more sporty and aggressive design. This design of the Audi A7 is totally inspired by the Audi Sportback Concept that we can see a few years ago at Detroit Motorshow. The main innovations of the Audi A7 will be based on this prototype, like their angular lines, lights with LED technology, 20-inch wheels, and a body based on a lightweight chassis.
This large sedan is a good alternative to the Mercedes CLS, the stronger rival for that car. Future versions like Audi S7 and Audi RS7 will compete with the Porsche Panamera or Lamborghini Estoque. About the engines of the Audi A7, we can found the same engines of Audi A8, with V6 and V8 engines for gasoline and powerfull diesel engines.
This sedan carrying the 3.0 L V6 engine, has the power 268 PS, and a longer version of the 4.2 L V8 with 372 PS power. In addition to gasoline, there is also a diesel version. The same engine capacity, the difference is only in a smaller power (250 PS and 350 PS).

2010 Audi S4

Hot on the heels of last year’s all-new A4 comes the hot-rod version, the S4. But the new S4 is quite unlike the previous S4; Audi’s aim is to broaden the S4′s appeal. Gone is the big fuel-guzzling V8 and the lofty price tag; in its place is a high-tech supercharged V6 and a lower price. Has Audi found a better formula for the S4 — or have they disemboweled a once-great car? Read on. $46,725 base, $50,050 as tested, EPA fuel economy estimates 18 MPG city, 27-28 MPG highway.

Creating an Audi S4 used to be so easy. Start with an A4 sedan, throw in a big eight-cylinder engine, clip on an outrageous price tag, and then toss the resulting wundermobile to the speeding masses. Those who were less inclined to tempt the radar guns had a perfectly nice A4 lineup to choose from.
Today, things are a good deal more complex. Extra cylinders are out, forced induction is in, and the populace isn’t spending money like they used to. So Audi has taken a new tack: They’ve killed the six-cylinder A4 while giving the S4 its own hot-rodded V6 and moving it downmarket. The old S4 was aimed at enthusiasts; the 2010 S4 is being aimed at the big-motor versions of the A4′s rivals — cars like the Mercedes-Benz C350, Lexus IS350, and BMW 335i.

So let’s meet the new S4. In place of the old S4′s 4.2 liter V8, the new car gets a supercharged direct-injected 3-liter V6. Compared to the old V8, it produces slightly less horsepower (333, vs the V8′s 340) and significantly more torque (325 vs. 302). The new engine lacks the low rumble of the V8, replacing it instead with an exotic-sounding soprano growl. Transmission choices are a six-speed manual or a new 7-speed version of Audi’s S-Tronic twin-clutch automatic, an automatic/manual hybrid that provides better-than-stick-shift performance with two-pedal convenience. Audi claims the new S4 runs from 0-60 in 4.9 seconds with either transmission, about a half-second quicker than the V8 S4. All this, plus much better fuel economy: high teens in the city and high 20s on the road, versus low teens and 20 even for the old S4.
